I am thinking about getting a 2002 Ferrari Enzo pretty soon. I was wondering about the reliability of an Enzo or should I just go for an extra 220K and get the McLaren F1?

You can save a lot of money by just getting a Civic and modding it a little. They go really fast then!

Why not buy American and get the Ford GT?? Imports suck :p

edit: If you're serious, I know there's at least one ATOT member whose immediate family member (brother or uncle) has an Enzo out in Utah (even took pics of the car and posted them here.) You can ask him how reliable theirs is.

I've used my 2002 Ferrari Enzo for 10 years now without any problems. It's a really reliable car, trust me! :D

That's a helluva question to ask a bunch of socially-challenged teenagers, ain't it? :D

I don't know if you're serious or not, but if I had that much money, I wouldn't waste that much on a car. It's pointless. You pay that much for looks, cause you're never going to need to go as fast as the car will.

Get a nice H2 for around 60-70 grand :).

Mine hasn't been very good. Bringing it in to the dealer every few thousand miles (have 18k on it now).

That's true, forgot about the Koenigsegg. Ah, I might get all three just for the sake of it :) Maybe I might ask Pinin if he wants to design a car for me.

ferrari enzo isnt exactly reliable... but what else can you expect from a detuned F1 engine... if you read last months issue of Performance CAR... they took an Enzo through traffic in New York... needless to say they were instant celebrities... perks coming left and right... but it also broke down. One call to Ferrari and they sent personal mechanics over to the car... doesnt look quote good if their flagship car breaks down and gets stranded. :D

Seriously, from what I have read, Ferraris aren't exactly reliable. They last so long, and are in such good condition because the owners take care of them so well. I bet if I took really good care of my Civic, it would last me a very long time too. Read up on the 2003 Modena long term review on Edmunds. Problems upon problems upon problems. Some of those problems are down right embarassing. Sure a person who can afford a ferrari doesn't really care about reliability. But you still don't want you car just shutting down anywhere it feels like. Once they were showing their car to some people, and it just quit running, and wont start. Imagine the embarrasment.

they are super high performance vehicles, to expect the same reliability from a Civic or a Camry is simply insane, they are made in very limited numbers and cater to a group that would generally drive them weekends only if that.....
