Ok, i just realized i've been a little jaded with what to expect from NY. I've only been there during the summer, and i can handle the heat and the humidity. How are the other 3 seasons like? How does the subway get affected, and how is morning rushhour?
It can get quite cold in the winter. Snow is pretty common.
Subway stations are always hot (especially in the summer time),
but as they run underground throughout Manhattan (above ground in many of the outer boroughs) they are rarely affected by the weather. Rush hours are crowded, but it all depends on what trains you take.
