How is the job outlook for an arch grad?

I hate to bother everyone with one of these posts again, but I didn't get any replies at this college forum..so anyways:

This is one of my options at Berkeley, an Architect major. I'm considering either this or Econ. While Econ people may find jobs easier I presume, architect seems a whole lot more fun.

However if the job outlook for an architect major is not good, I guess I'll have to pass.

A friend of mine just moved down from Seattle to work for a arch firm in the San Mateo area. I dunno how hard it was for him, but he seemed to find it fairly quickly.

Home DEpot is always hiring.

You don't get to design buildings, but you sell things to people to help them make improvements to buildings.

Sounds pretty satisfying. No?
