How is the Iomega Super DVD Writer? Any good?

There's a $30 rebate going on and it's ~$190 shipped from Buy.com for an end cost of $160. It's the usual DVD±RW plus it handles DVD-RAM. The reviews I seen seem favorable. Anyone here have one?

Does the Iomega really offfer anything that great, given what the current offering of multi-format drives already have?

I think DVD-RAM is going the way of the do-do, so I wouldn't hinge my purse-strings on that feature, ... unless I 100%-without-a-doubt needed DVD-RAM.

I read something that DVD-RAM is the format for HD-DVD recorders, but it's not mandatory. Did some research and it uses the NEC1300 as it's basis, but there are comparable burners that are either far cheaper or better for not much more - i.e. the 8X Plextor.

Looks like it's not bad, but there is better out there. Thanks for the answer.
