How is the Dell D620?

Mine is great. Runs Vista like a top, great battery life (with the 9-cell), decent price. Build quality is solid, much better than any Latitude I've used.

I have a T7200, 2GB RAM, 80GB 7200 RPM drive, DVD burner, Verizon EVDO internal card, and Nvidia graphics. I paid about $1550 around Thanksgiving, minus the EVDO card which I purchased separately about two weeks ago for $179.

yea my roommate got a Dell D620 in december. it is amazing. definitely top notch. if you've read issues about the screen, it is amazing. i have BrightView on my HP dv2000t and i like my roommate's screen more (don't mean to discredit HP. my laptop's screen is the best i've seen out of any consumer laptop). my dad's had IBM/Lenovo Thinkpads only for like the past 8 years (maybe more?) and i would definitely put the two in the same category.

The Dell D620 is the standard laptop issue at the Web based hosting company I work for and it services us very well. I work in our Desktop support department as a level II support tech.
