i might have a job in NJ, which means i'll have to take the GWB twice daily. i'm not a real northeastern driver (i learned to drive in florida, and we didn't parallel park there -- so let's just say that i don't know how to
) and i hate NYC traffic so i avoid driving the car at almost all costs. however, if i get the offer, i'll need to drive a good 20 miles out of state to the job location.
anyhow, all that background aside, i would like to know how the reverse commute is into the city during rush hour. is it bad? i know that going to NJ from NYC is MUCH worse, but how is the ride into the city? is there traffic? is it at a standstill? is it slow?
i've only driven on the GWB into new york twice, and one of those times i was in GWB traffic for a good half hour (midday on a weekday). i'm really hoping that was an isolated incident and that i won't see stuff like that when the roads are busier.
anyone know?
