I am looking at getting a Canon A40 digital camera. It's on for a fairly good price and it seems to be well made. Anyone have any experience with this camera??

its considered one of the best cameras in its price range, you won't be dissapointed if you bought it.

I have it, and I love it.
I replaced a Canon S10 with it (sad story, really).

Is there anything specific you want to know about it?

Thanks for the replies.

NaughtyusMaximus...
Do you have any of the problems regarding indoor shots that some of the posts indicate?

I have this camera and sometimes I get blurry pictures. I took it to a concert last week and I only got a few good shots, most were blurry. I've always heard good things about this camera so maybe I just suck at taking pictures and need to learn how to use it. Sometimes it works well and other times I get crappy pictures. I have the firmware update they posted on their site also which was supposed to fix auto focus problems.

I have one and I love it. I've taken many pictures with it (some which have been submitted to contests and have won). Pics come out blurry sometimes and it takes a few seconds to capture when zoomed in, but overall its an excellent camera.

It had a focus problem but there is a firmware upgrade. The newer ones may already have the patch.
I have a A40. The build is great. Pictures are good for a 2 megapixel camera but I'd pay more bucks for more resolution if I had it to do over. Canons have wonderful color. I'd either get a >3 MP Canon or Nikon.

I have an A 40 and love it, too. It takes great pictures indoors, it's when there is really low lighting when your pics might turn out a little blurry. It'd be nice if it was a little smaller, but for the price vs. features it's hard to beat.
