I've not seen MSI's Ti4400, so my comments pertain to MSI's Ti4600, and many of their previous cards... Iesume this holds true for their Ti4400 but as I've not seen it there is an off-chance the Ti4400 is atypical for MSI.

Slightly below average as far as nVidia boards go so it's relatively poor overall, but still adequate for most people.
I definitely wouldnt care to try it at 1600x1200 unless your eyes don't tend to be strained by poor 2D at all.
Personally I can't say as I like it much at 1280x1024 or 1152x864 either... but my eyes tend get easily irriated by sub-par 2D visual quality, so you may or may not be bothered by it.

2D visual quality tends to be a very personal things though, and opinions seem to vary dramatically dependion upon whom you ask. Some are extremely sensitive to 2D visual quality, while many others seem unable to view any difference between Matrox calibar 2D and very poor nVidia boards.

Given that I'm using a MSI Ti4400 and I'm posting this using 1600 x 1200 on my Hitachi Superscan Supreme 752 and I have a g400 max in my machine at work, also taking account I've put on my reading glasses, it isn't that bad. Of course my eyes might be too old and shot to tell the difference anymore. Anyway, I have no problems with it, it seems no different than the Visiontek G3 that it just replaced.
