someone explain this to me. i understand striking, but since they are locked out, that means they can't return to work even if they wanted to. so more or less they are fired?? if so how are they just able to be in front of the store chilling out?? i would think that it would be ok if they were like on the sidewalk closer to the main street, rather than the parking lot itself

edit: fixed title, thanks tetsuo. im dyxlexic (?), NOT a bad speller. hehehe

to loiter is to stand around aimlessly with no purpose

striking is doing something...so it's not loitering

ok, i understand. but isn't the front of their market their property?? so why can't they just tell them to get out of there??

like if someone was picketting in front of my door, ill be like, hey, that porch is still my property, get the fsck out.

ya, but the managers don't own the property, the market does. store managers aren't stupid enough to kick union workers off the properties without their bosses knowing.

"Yeah seriously. Whenever I read that statement, I get the mental picture of a fat, white, pimple-faced geek. "

That's 'cause you're prejudiced.

1, It it a public place.
2, They can not harass verbally or detain physically anyone going in or out.
3, They can not stop walking. In order to sit down they must leave the property.
4, For private property, manufacturing plant, they will be at the gate.

Sitting in a chair as I have seen them doing, is loitering..........
