How is Sony's monitor support?

I've heard that Sony has little support in comparison to KDS, CTX, and Samsung. If I get a 21" monitor that has poor quality (color bleeding, blurry areas, etc) which company is best to deal with ?

IBM's customer service is excellent! If a product is defective, they'll send you a box by next day air and you stick your item in it and send it back (it's all prepaid by IBM). THen they send you a working item. They're quite flexible. I ripped my speaker cord once because of something stupid i did and i phoned them up and said what happened and they sent me brand new speakers and i sent the old ones back. THat's it. Plus they're available 24hrs for tech support.

I've heard the same thing (despite how wonderful the Sony G400 monitor is) I would stick with KDS and Samsung.

Well ive got a GDM-F400 19" Monitor. Thing cost me $994 when i got it and was broken out of the box. So far ive had 2 others with the same problem and only thing Sony will do is keep making me ship them to PA to get fixed. Last time i did that they gave me a Refurb and it has the exact same problems. Bastards will not replace it with a new one. Im still pissed at them for that, go and pay almost $1000 for a monitor and they wont replace it when it goes bad.

that does suck, I know that Compaq ships you a new monitor, then you ship your old one back to them in the same box as the new one arrived in. And they pay for shipping both ways!

Oh man, Sony is pretty bad in the service & support department. They lied to me about having loaners to issue customers while the RMA'd monitor was shipped. OTOH if you buy a Sony, you have a smaller chance of getting one with defects, I think. I've heard KDS has a pretty bad RMA rate, but their S&S is pretty good.
