I've been very happy with my Samsung laser. Been going strong for the past 5 years, printing out lots of notes and source code.

I'm glad I went laser and didn't stick with expensive and unreliable ink-jets.

I have a Samsung ML-2010 and I don't really like it that much. It's not bad by any means but it's just not that great compared to my old HP Laserjet 1012. It's much louder, slower to start printing, and draws more power. The only thing better about it is the page yield per cartridge (Samsung: 3000, HP: 2000)

I bought a HP Laserjet 6L Se for 300$ in 1998 for eldest son going to college, handed down to second son in college. Quiet and small, generic toner cartidge ~30$ - it has given us value for money. Bought a Samsung ML-2010 couple of weeks back (80$), after a Epson 740 died - its certainly noisy and came with a limited use (1000 copies) cart and the cheapest toner cartridge I can find is $50. Seems flimsy, though print quality is excellent - but lets see how it turns out.

I think they are unbeatable for the price. I've had no problems with my ML-1740. Still running on the factory toner too (1/2 yield or less)

I have a ML-2010 and a Xerox laser which has a Samsung engine. The Xerox is about 6 years old and never failed me. For the price (60 bucks or so) you'll have trouble beating the price.
