So what? Unless you are growing the food yourself why would you be bothered about how efficient it is?

You said it was stupid and pointless. Efficiency is neither stupid nor pointless. And efficiency doesn't apply only to your pocketbook. It applies to land use, resource use and environmental impact. But I suppose if you were a self-centered wise and beautiful woman, you probably wouldn't care about any of those.

Please post your sources regarding the efficiency of animal vs plant proteins, oh wise one.

Hardly something that constitutes abuse now is it. Abuse would be feeding burgers to your kids day in, day out so that they grow up obese and die young of coronary heart disease. By that standard vegetarians are less abusive than the other 90% of American families.

Vegetarianism is stupid and pointless.

I, for one, do not trust vegans.

Or any kind of so-called carnivore that refuses to eat the greatest of all food items: pork.

In terms of simple calories its rather intuitive isnt it? All the energy comes from the sun, stored in plants via photosynthesis. Either this is consumed directly and metabolized to energy or farm animals eat them, they derive as many calories as possibl then their meat is slaughtered and we eat them.

At each point there is energy transfer and energy lost (in the form of heat, waste products, shedding etc etc etc) but never new energy created. So by the time you eat a cow, its a much smaller fraction of the energy that was original spent.

There also consideration for environmental impact of large animal farms and the food necessary to sustain their growth.

Yeah like that French couple who killed their baby with malnutrition.

Adults can cope with a vegan diet but not children. Children need a lot more supplements to help them cope with a vegan diet than adults do.

Omnivore diet for children - no supplements needed.
Vegan diet for children - supplements needed or death occurs.

Gee I wonder which I would consider more healthy.

*sigh* Read his post again. It's entirely possible, but out of the 7 billion people on this planet, two of them procreated and didn't feed their child a balanced diet. Again, see all the examples in countries such as India. Do you think they eat meat until they're 18, then become vegans? Think man, think!

Sweet Jesus, you are bringing your trolling to OT now?

Eating vegetarian or even vegan, it is 100% possible to have proper and coimplete nutrition.

If you didn't know that, you're just one ignorant pos. But given your track record of material dishonesty in posting in P&N, I'm guessing you do know that and are just trolling.

He sounds a lot like another poster that likes to ask ignorant questions incessantly.

A good portion of India is all the proof you need that you can be raised a healthy vegetarian. Plenty of other examples too.
