How is MSI 645e mobo? Is it good?
It is using SiS 645DX chipset

I have the same question. This mobo is on sale at Fry's. The only thing I could find is a product link:

I am pretty sure this is the correct link, no other fit the mobo description at Fry's.

Love it.. it's very cheap, and it runs like a champ.. I am not sure why this board is not more commonly heard of.. I think it's a fabulous buy. I've used 2 of them here at work, P4 1.6a's @ 2.2 GHz (133FSB) default everything, stable as a rock. I'd check it out.. they're a bargain.

I am new to DDR, so what kind of memory should I get? PC2100 or PC2700?

Samsung or crucial pc2700.

I got PC2100 for my system build.. not worth it to spend the extra on 2700 when all you even really NEED is PC1600 cause it runs at 100 FSB.

the P4's I got I overclocked to 133 FSB so I needed PC2100.
run like a champ.
