How is Motel 6 ?

Is this place any good? I remember reading some horror stories but I need to make living arrangement for 20 people for 2 nights and Motel 6 seems to be the cheapest.

What do the insides of the rooms look like?
 
this one seems fairly new. I think I should go check it out but just wondering if people have any first hand experiences to share.
 
It's a large chain so I'm sure the quality of each motel varies on it's location and it's age. They're probably just average.
 
depends on the location and the management. ive stayed in a few that were clean. others were nasty, and we left. coin flip, really. what about red roof? almost as cheap, and ive never had a bad room.

the rooms are very basic. bed, tv, nightstand. nothing fancy.
 
motel 6 is okay..

sometimes a bit pricey..but they are okay otherwise..

your only spending the night.. they are clean and fine.. i have used them before.
 
When we decided on a last minute trip to New Orleans last 4th of July that was literally the only place I could book a room that was under $200.00 a night because everything was taken due to the holiday and a music event going on then. After I spent the night there I found out why. What a dump and all I heard all night were people slamming doors and yelling and doing God only knows what else outside! Plus, we were only a few feet from the pool. Some dude was FRYING BACON on a grill outside of his room on the second story walkway when we checked out if that tells you anything about the environment. 😀

This was in Slidell, LA by the way. Never will I stay in a Motel 6 again even though I realize that one location doesn't represent them all.
 
I used to work there. The quality depends mostly on the location and manager. The newer the location, the better. It is a busy and cheap hotel. Don't expect much. It is a cheap place to get a room for the night, nothing more. No frills.
 
If it is new or just remodeled, then it is ok. It will be YMMV for sure. Just stop by and visit the place and see for yourself. I refer Red Roof over Motel 6 or any other cheap motels.

i stay at motel 6's whenever i travel seems like, probobly been in about 80% of the ones in AZ at least 🙂 There cheap, convenient, and dont hassle you much for doing whatever. I just always bring an extra pillow though and be sure to do my own whipe down of the toilet seat...but really they have come a long way since ACCOR took over i think, theres a few seedy ones out there but for the most part they seem fairly decent.

Um, I hope you never had to stay at the ones at I-17 and Indian School or Northern. The one at I-17 and Sweetwater is good though.

Call some other hotels tell them you are price checking hotels for a large group of people. There is alot of flexibility
 
dont go there! i read a medical report where this one guy got crabs sleeping in a bed in a Motel 6. he was a virgin and had spent the night in a dirty motel 6 a few nights before. doctor narrowed it down to the motel so he went back and checked out the sheets....
