How is Logitech's warranty service??

My 2 month old Mx1000 is acting up and I'm passed the point where I can go back to the store and return it. That is assuming that I can even find my receipt. I've heard that Logitech's customer service is excellent. Has anyone had any good experience calling them up and reporting a defective item?

I bought some z640s, I think. It was back in August. They broke a couple weeks ago, and I called the place to see if I could have them fixed.

I just got the new x540s or whatever that replacement line of speakers is called. The sent it to me free. I think it was pretty generous, but I don't usually have to call about stuff like this.

Wow. So they are willing to replace the product free even after the 30 days that you originally purchased it? Do they also pay for you to ship the defective item back to them?

No, that was the weirdest part. The person I talked to said I didn't need to send them back. I think that maybe it was part of an expirement to see how many people call about them.

That's great customer service. I'll give them a call tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have a similar experience. Do you remember what info I need handy? All I have is the mouse. I no longer have the receipt or box.

I had a number on the bottom of one of my speakers that I had to tell the girl. That and the model number. Well, and of course your address and name. 😛

everything you need is on the bottom of your mouse.

Would it make a difference whether or not I registered the mouse when I first got it? I have a bad habit of forgetting to fill out registration cards or even going online to complete registrations for my products.

No shouldn't, at least, I didn't fill one of those cards out.
