How is Cingular or T-Mobile in Minneapolis/St Paul?

Does anyone have Cingular or T-Mobile Wireless in the Twin Cities? I am getting so pissed at Verizon in the last few days that I'm seriously considering paying the cancellation charge and moving to a different carrier. I'm interested in any feedback anyone might have about signal quality, customer service, etc.

Why the trouble?

It's kind of complicated to explain. First I had a heinous overcharge ($240!) for what was supposedly roaming, although I made the calls from my house, where I've never been in a roaming zone. Then, I recently wanted to switch my Washington state number to a Minnesota one, and upgrade my phone and calling plan, and ended up wasting something like 4 hours with morons on the phone, without ever succeeding in doing what I wanted to. They seem to hire people missing a chromosome or something.

It's ironic in that I always liked Verizon and have encouraged many people to get it based on my positive experiences with their CS. Now I've pretty much had it. I think I'm going to call them tonight, talk to a manager and threaten to terminate, and see what they'll do to work with me. If they won't help me out, screw 'em.

Well i'm currently w/ Cingular, but have been w/ quite a few other companies... (Sprint, T-Mobile, Voicestream, Verizon/Powertel)

My honest opinion? They all suck.... 🙁 I've had various billing and receiption issues with pretty much all of them at one point in time.

Take for example T-Mobile: My first two bills were over $650, as they not only fergot to code in ANY minutes into my plan, but after i called following the first bill, they did it again the second month.
Cingular has problems removing and adding features to my plan. Added a service for a month, took it off the next, yet i had to call for the next 5 months because every month, i was charged again.

I am however staying with Cingular for the indefinate future...

They were the ONLY cell phone company that kept their towers operating around my parents house right after the hurricane (no power for over a week).
