Huh..that's a surprise. I guess I'll check it out but I've heard bad things from those in beta.

Edit: I couldn't get the installer to work in FF, but IE is working just fine.

I was under the impression it was still under beta. If it's not, then go ahead and try it, I mean it's free after all, so no skin of your nose.

There is a pretty lengthy discussion here. They also did a big update recently that added a bunch of features, plus a new map. I have the e-mail, but it's not copy/pastable and I don't feel like typing it out right now.

I found it boring, it's 3rd person and the pace is pretty slow. I haven't played it since the week of the open beta. But back then the classes were way out of wack. Spies could kill you with 1 stab and heavy gunmen were very very tough to kill. And unlike TF2 they weren't a whole lot slower than the other classes. Flying the plane was a chore, maybe I just suck. But half the time I did a decent job, the other half I was like a drunk and would crash quick. Graphics were okay, levels were okay. Even if they level out the classes, I think the pace was just too slow for me. Wasn't a bad game exactly, but I didn't get wowed by it. You level up sort of like a MMO, and the weapons weren't that good. Probably better if you upgrade them but I never made enough points or wanted to pay for a game card to get upgrades.

it sucks because there's no server balancing, one side will always own the other. if you want to have a good time, join up one of the vent server and join the kiddies there. basically it is like a mix of MMO and FPS, you have to keep ur gun aimed while spamming heal/shield/punch/granade with your number buttons.

it gets old quickly.

You should have gotten a nice code with a 200 or so free battle thingies. I forgot what they call them.

I liked it, it was fun...good idea, but it's not exactly perfect. I still prefer to play BF2.

the thing I dislike the most, is that you have to log out of the server to choose new missions/upgrade after a level. Since going to a server is totally random you have no idea if you can go back to the one you were on if you liked it.
