Can two year old kids be expressive or communicative albeit in a limited sense?

No. The bark collar does an excellent job of keeping them quiet with the exception of a little whimpering. That can be easily drowned out by he TV.

Of course they can.

My son spoke in complete sentences when he was two years old; I did the same thing when I was that age.

My son also walked at 8 months (again, so did I according to my parents).

Listen, kids don't do a lot of learning on their own. You have to teach them. We have spoken to and read to my son every day of his life.

My 2 year old speaks in full sentences (constantly).
Can identify all 26 letters of the alphabet and give words for each.
She also knows about 100 words in sign language.

and can operate an iphone/ipad better than most adults. ;)

Good stuff. I was scared to turn my son loose with a tablet at that age but he had basically mastered the Wii mote.

my slightly less than 2 year old daughter is very expressive. she lets you know exactly whats on her mind, with words and actions. There is no "limited". her words and sentences are very clear.

My son.
My son had his first pubes by the age of three months.
My son had his first gf by the age of one. Busted his first nut on her chest by the age of one and 2 days.
My son got in the pimping business by the age of two. By the age of three he was controlling the whole West Coast. By the age of three and one month he got his 1st gold tooth and pimped up gun. By the age of three and two months he had 12 cops on his payroll and was screwing the governor's daughter.
Snoop Dog offered my son to roll a joint with him but he refused.

Sure, and there's a wide difference between the communications abilities of a 2 y.o. who's 24 months vs. 35 months. Just be aware they may sometimes have trouble with abstract concepts and/or get frustrated trying to verbalize wants/needs (especially when they're tired). Also, what they talk about can be pretty hard to follow since they can't always stay on a single train of thought for an extended period. Some of the things which come out of the mouth of my 2 y.o. just amaze me at times (in both good and bad ways).

He's a late bloomer, don't feel bad.

My daughter is 4, she can tell you the bones in the hands, feet, arms and legs (with the medical terms), can tell you all of the planets in the solar system, in order, and can read books to a limited degree. She can read most 4 letter words and some 5 letter words, and those she doesn't know she sounds out.

She has been put in the year ahead for school. Her downfall is numbers but she is otherwise very intelligent. If you chaps want to talk dad talk, visit www.dadsmancave.co.uk fair few dads on there and always happy for new members,
