How important is video clock frequency in selecting a monitor?

I am looking to purchase either a 19 or 21 inch monitor, and for some reason seem drawn to the Mitsubishi's. The only thing I have noticed is that they have a much smaller clock frequency than competitors. For example, the 900u is 150mhz, compared to 230mhz for the Sony G400 and 300mhz for the iiyama 450. Also, the 2040u is 240 mhz, compared to 300mhz for the sony and 360mhz for the iiyama. Does this slower clock have any adverse effects?

I think that's bandwidth; but anyway, a lower bandwidth usually indicates lower refresh rates.
