How important is pixel response time for LCD's?

Just curious cause I've seen LCD's with a 30 ms pixel response time that claim to have no ghosting or shadowing even when playing games and watching movies.

I've been led to believe that the lower the better and for serious gaming/video use you should aim for <20msec if possible.

That's what I've heard too... <16 ms is always the rule I've heard... but I've seen monitors with a 30 ms response time and they claim no ghosting

That's exactly what I said... I'd like to hear from someone who has a >20 ms LCD and doesn't experience ghosting.

There are several 1800FP users on this forum, including myself, that do not see ghosting in games or dvd movies. The response time is stated as 30ms.
