here's my setup:

80 Gig WD hd
Sony 8x DVD writer
mobile barton 2400+
nf7-s v2
Thermalright slk 900a
350 Antec True Power Ps (came with the Antec 3700 BQE case)
*I have not yet bought RAM, but am thinkin about 1GB of either Corsair 3200 XMS or Mushkin 3500 Level II*

If i want to make the most out of my setup and ram timings, would I need to upgrade my power supply? i see a lot of people using the Antec True power 430W or was it 480W. Or is 350 W enough for what I want to do?

Great choice of cases. :)

You'll be fine. I have a 2.6C@3.25, stock cpu cooler, 2 optical drives, 1 hdd, 2 - 120mm case fans and that Antec PSU has been flawless so far.

Not necessarily, that's the same psu that Jeff7181 had in his system, and it was fine for him, until he bought a mobile Barton. Then the best he could do was 2.4ghz, until he bought an Antec TruePower 430, which made all of his problems go away.

I believe jeff had a smart power and not a truepower.

Right, the same psu that this guy has. I know, because I bought the same case.
edit: Oh, and Antec doesn't even make a 350 watt TruePower. They make 330, 380, 430, 480, and 550 TruePowers.

i've owned several antec psu's now
the 430 480 and 550 all treated me right in my various oc setups
the 350 should be plenty although 400 or more is what i usually suggest

good luck

It was an Antec SL350 :D 2.4 Ghz was the limit... and the RAM was limited to 210 Mhz as well, which is now running 218 with my new power supply.

so what is your mobile OC'ed up to now jeff? just trying to figure out if it'll be worth it in the long run :) I was actually "hoping" to achieve a 2.4 GHz overclock, wasn't expecting much more with all the posts of people claiming to only be able to reach 2.2~2.3GHz Oc w/ 2400 mobile bartons.

I haven't played with it much cause only a few days after I got the PSU I left for Florida... but I left it at 218x11 which is still 2.4 Ghz... but better than the 209x11.5 I was running before. Voltages are more stable now with the new PSU, and I'm pretty confident that I can get to 2.5 Ghz on 1.75 volts. I'll try it out more when I get back from this vacation.

Get the best PSU you can afford. The TruePower 430W is a steal at $66 IMO.:)
