Hi,
please help me to record compression time in winrar?
i want to test my power of CPU, and i need to test by WINRAR.
but i don't know how i record Compresion time in Winrar for compare by other CPU.

Yeh, you could use a stop watch. It won't be incredibly accurate, but if you pay attention you should be able to get within a couple of seconds of the real time it takes to complete.

How are you going to compare, though? Are you going to compare a bunch of systems you have? If so, don't forget that you would have to compress the same file to make any of the times relevant.

Are you talking about generating Winrar benchmark data like some of the review sites do?

There is a built-in benchmark that you can run and it will report to you a KB/s result when it is done.

You can run the same benchmark on multiple rigs provided you use the same winrar version.

pen Winrar click tools > benchmarh and hardware test or Alt b for keyboard
