I took off the nb fan off this same board just the other day. I took no less than 15 seconds. Simply squeeze in the clips from the back of the mobo. Easiest chipset fan I've removed ever.

You know, nomally taking off the motherboard from a case is a easy job for me, and I don't have motherboard trays. This is possible only because I have excellent wire management. All the space I need to work with, and all the wires are tied securely.

Lucky.. my wire management is "stuff them in a dark corner of the case and hope", not to mention ive got a 92mm Tornado and a massive SLK-900a on the processor, so even lifting the board out of the case is hazardous.

Lift board, put on side, I used pliers, pinch white nubs on bottom of board, pull them out, northbridge comes off quite easily.

Popped a Vantec Iceberq on mine a month ago, when the old one died, but the northbridge was allready damaged and I have an RMA on my NF7-S Rev2.0 now
