How hot when testing

I'm testing my OC on my new E4400 with an XP-90/Panaflo fan cooling solution and was wondering how hot I should let it go. I've got Prime95 going and the temp is 55 degress, was 37 for idle. This is for an OC of 3 Ghz (10 X 300). Vcore was bumped up to 1.4 and I'm hoping that's the highest I'll need. So far, everything is looking good so after a few hours of testing for stability, I'll go for 3.2-3.3 Ghz and if I can get that solid I'll consider this a success.

Core temp. I believe the Intel spec for their C2D chips (The E6300-E6700 anyway) is 70ºC at the core.

I'm not sure if that has changed with the E4400 or not, but like MarcVenice said, keep core temps definatly below 65ºC, I'd say below 60ºC

My E6600 @ 2.8 idles around 24ºC and peaks around 43ºC under orthos. I just use lots of fans and my ambient room temp is about 15ºC.

There have been a few days I've come home to it running mid 50s if the room heated up because of the sun, but I just open the windows.

Sorry for the pointless diversion, it's been a long day.

Sounds good. My temps only went to around 55 degrees during a 2 hour run of Prime 95 so I guess I'm solid.
