How hot should a 9600m run?

My GPU on my MBP seems to run a bit hot. Simply browsing the web brings it up to 80C and Gaming can bring it to over 100C. This seems very high for a GPU.

Blow out your vents, and put something under the back to raise it up more. A stack of post its or something under each corner should help loads.

Every gaming laptop I've used has been woefully inadequate at cooling without something to raise it up :\

Yep.... I have also redone the thermal paste on my laptops to great effect. If your laptop isn't brand new I'd recommend getting some nice thermal paste and reapplying. Also canned air those heatsinks like mad.

I open up the MBP and used an aircan to clean out the vents and two fans. I notice a 10 degree drop in temperature for both games and browsing. Now I am seeing around 70 for browsing and 90 for games. The notebook is already elevated.
