HOW HOT IS TOO HOT????

Ill be getting my opteron 165 on thursday... I want to overclock to 2.6 or 2.7, and io want to know what you think about how hot is too hot. Ive heard opterons can handle heat better than others, but still, whats a good idle/load temp?

I'd say a good load temperature is around 45C or so. 50ish is still passable but a bit on the high side. Idle doesn't really make much of a difference, I'd say.

I would not pass 50C on air, just to be safe.

Yes, under 50 is perfect for air (under 55 for water I'd say), AMDs official max is 65-71 for this processor, but it'll get unstable in the high 50s most probably anyway.
Idle does not matter too much, but you should expect around load-20C when coming down from load in the fully heated system...however, this heavily depends on your case ventilation...
