how hot is a gf2 gts pro suppose to run?

i put my hand on the otherside of the gpu core and it freegin almost burned my finger.. haha
its too hot to the touch.. also the ram heatsinks are really warm..
could i have a defective card? or is it suppose to run this hot?
cause i think the heat is actually slowing down the performance of my videocard.. im comparing it with my gf2 gts pure, and my pure one is actually running smoother.. and the ram is cool to the touch and the core is pretty warm but not too hot to touch..
my pro card is the hurcules prophet2 pro
my regular gts is the asus v7700 pure
got any idea's?

The core on my 256 DDR runs really hot too- even w/ a Blorb. I would guess that it's supposed to be that hot.

perhaps you should consider a blue orb hsf for better chip cooling.
you'll loose the use of the slot below though if you travel that route!
