How "hot" are CPUs?

anyone have a site that states the thermal output of modern CPUs? like, i know the tbird 1.4ghz is pretty hot, but how's that compare to a 2400+? TIA

It depends on the voltage, the core size, clock speed and the number of transistors.


In comparison a 1700+ is much cooler than a t-bird 1.4. Im pretty sure it would be hotter than the 2400+ too.
