How High Should I o/c my PC

Well ok, right now I o/ced my parts to 2.4 GHz, with memory timings of 2.5-4-4-10 1T 1:1 ratio. Now I've read that I shouldn't overclock my computer past 250 fsb if my HT is set to 4X, so should I change it to 3X and keep going? Right now I am running prime95 on it, to make sure it'll last at least. My Crucial ballistix should be handling lower timings though, so its says.. So right now, my questions are. Should I be using clockgen to o/c to 2500? Should I attempt for 2600 Mhz and up? What timings should I set for my memory? What should my vcore and dimm be at?

Right now, I have it set on
Memory:2.5.4-4-10 1T (as I stated above..)
CPU:240X10
VCore:1.55 +5.0%
Dimm:2.85v
System temperature: 20c
CPU temperature: 57 C (on prime95, is that bad?)
12v:11.20 (Aspire 500w, sucks, but hey, 10% tolerance it can last)
5v:5.00

Also, I am a bit confused on how memtest86 works, I don't really understand the instructions either... can you guys tell me how? Heh, Im a noob... sorry if it bothers you.

You overclock your computer until it stops working. If your computer isn't stable at 4x 250, then drop it to 3x and keep going.

Memtest is simple. Put a floppy (or cdr if you get the ISO) in the drive and run the exe (Or burn the iso for a cd). Then boot from the drive it's in. It does the rest.

Well, what I did was run one of those overclocking checklist, doing the HTT, memory, and CPU. I got 2530 Mhz as my max o/c, so I set the FSB to 253, and mutliplier as 10.. But the thing I don't understand is this. How come my HTT is still at 253? Shouldn't it be higher due to the HT multiplier? Btw, my Vdimm is 2.85, and my vcore is 1.7

I also did try a CAS of 2.5-2-2-10 1T, it didn't work... So I guess, I'm sticking with 2.5-3-3-7. Heh.. That's still not bad though, surpassing ddr500

How is that Motherboard? I was thinking about getting it but I have read about a lot of problems it has been having. Also what heatsink are you using?

Update: I got it at 2.5-3-2-6 1T, which was stated on their website. I lowered my MHz to 250 for the heck of it (even numbers =D). The K8N Neo2 is a great overclocker, but it has a few bugs which they still haven't fixed... I really want the asus a8v deluxe rev. 2 though. My heatsink is the venus 12, BUT ITS SOO LOUDD!!!!! I should've had that Zalman CNPS7000A-CU one... Its too loud for my liking, louder than the 9 fans I have installed too.

Well, update...
Speed: 2530 Ghz
CAS: 2.5-4-4-7 1T
Vcore:1.7
Vdimm:2.85
HT:4
FSB:253X10

I had to change 3-4 to make it more stable. Because my game wouldn't load fully, so I knew my timings were off.
