Just wondering how high everyone has gotten their thunderbirds to. Please indicated original speed and aluminum or copper core.

Blue T´Bird 800@945 1.85V
ABIT KT7 Raid
Alpha PAL 6035

Had it @1000 for a week, but went back to 9 x 105, because at the time I have no need for a gig.

See below. Green core 800 week 30. I am curious on what the week is on these other green core T-Birds that are are doing a gig or better. I have 2 week 30 800's, and a week 35 800. All green cores. The week 30's will boot into Windows at a gig, but are not stable. The week 35 will not even POST at a gig. I have top quality components, and an Enermax 450 watt PS. The RAM is not an issue since I have tried running with a straight multiplier overclock to a gig at both Host Clock + PCI Clock, and just Host Clock. I have no problems running the RAM at 144MHz CAS2 turbo now. My best top end performance has been with the multiplier at 900, 1.85v, FSB 105/35 + 4= 109, which WCPUID shows the T-Bird at 982MHz.

I'm not complaining, I would much rather run at 982 with the FSB where it is and the RAM at 144MHz CAS2 turbo, than a gig with the FSB at 100, and the RAM at 133. I am just curious on those other week #'s for comparison.

EDIT: All of them have been unlocked with the Loctite rear window defogger conductive paint.

Techonut,

I have my 800 at 1000 right now, it is fairly stable at 1026 also. I am not sure what week I have, but it is a green core. When I could only get up around 900, I tried the pencil trick again, and then was able to get over a gig.

My problem isn't heat, it is something else....maybe pencil vs other. I can't get 10x100 to work at all. Any ideas?

Just saw that you used loctite. interesting.. Maybe I am just at my top end. I will read about determining the week # and get back with you.

Strike to determine the week# just look at the second line on the chip. For example mine says AFFA0030FPCW, making it a week 30 chip.
