I hear olive oil is fat-free and good for the body, along with flaxseed oil.
what about other types?

I had a friend who said grapeseed oil was very healthy. I dunno for sure, but it tastes good on salad with a little lemon juice.

Good oxymoron there! Oil=fat. However, olive oil is healthy because it is mostly monounsaturated oil; same with peanut and canola oil. But peanut can supposedly cause allergic reactions.

Next in line are polyunsaturated oils; they aren't as healthy, but they're still ok: corn, cotton, and most other vegetable oils.

Then come the saturated oils, which aren't healthy at all: lard, palm, coconut, hydrogenated stuff/partially hydrogenated stuff, etc.

Canola oil is basically the best you can get.

On a side note: My grandfather created canola. (Baldur Stefansson)

Quick search on Google

If you click on the "Next" button at the end of the page under Bjorgvin (my dad), me and my sister are mentioned :)
