Just curious what kinda hobbies people have picked up here from the forums. Perhaps you weren't much interested in games before frequenting these forums, and by reading over some comments by people you were tempted to get into games and now consider yourself a gamer.

Or any other similar situations to share.

I'm wondering if it's taken away my urge to game... It all because of that damn post count! Bastards..... I remember reading a polling about the post count thing and all the lifers bitched the guy out. It clearly shows it makes people into animals. I wonder if anand did this so it would bring people back. When I one day become a lifer I would then have time to my self.. Otherwise this forums has helped me with some not so difficult issues and some more so.

I learned a good deal about computers in general... then, one fateful day, I clicked on "Off Topic" 🙁 😛
 
I've learned that people can be some dumb folks. After all, you'd think that one would search before posting a topic to ensure it hasn't been posted before. Also, I've realized that there are some people who can't make any decision what-so-ever without the input of ATOT. Finally, ATOT has changed me into being a lazy person. After all, if I hadn't posted as many posts as I have, I probably would have been doing something productive elsewhere.

My view of world has changed dramatically because of these forums. Through these forums I have found the wonders of g0atse and tvbgirl and lem0nparty and whatnot... Not to mention I have learned completely new words like "Syringered" and "Nef", and that I use abreviations like LOL and OMG in real life to astonish my friends.

Not to mention the massive amounts of completely useless/miss information that goes around these forums.

This really is a strange place isn't it? :Q

So, to answer the question: I think I'm a better (allthough more disturbed... maybe a bit crazy) person because of these forums!

Because of these forums I've become cynical and rude. 🙂 BTW the only games I play other than Freecell is chess and bridge.
 
I've learned a few neat things, met some interesting people with like interests. I've also witnessed how rude people can be, how intolerant, and shallow. I guess you've got to pick which threads you bother looking at or responding to. You almost know what to expect after a while. 🙂🙂
 
I've learned a great deal, changed my sense of humor, become more introspective in some ways and more outgoing in others. Of course I joined ATOT December of my freshman year of college, so many of my changes have occurred as a result of college as well.
 
I used to be one of those poor ignorant guys whom played basketball/baseball/some sport a few nights a week, went out to a club or bar a night or two a week to watch sports and BS with the guys, and took my wife out nearly every weekend with our friends.

Now I'm a bonified nerd slumped at my computer reading this forum or another most of my free time...

Wow....this isn't really a good thing now is it????🙁:Q:frown::disgust:😱:shocked:
