How has this year been?

How awesome is that... we worked very hard the last 2 years for this.
My job is guaranteed for the next 5 years + a Green Card. Talk about finishing the year strong...lol
My company is a start up, we were 5 people when I started 2 years ago. We are 19 now, moving to a new location next month and hiring a bunch more people. It is very exciting to be part of this ... everyone is taking a day off next week to celebrate.

Wait... DoD contract and you get to keep your GREEN CARD?
Great we don't even have US citizens working on for our DoD. Brilliant.

What's wrong with legal immigrants working for your government? If he's passed all the security checks you'd imagine he'd have to pass, he's just as entitled to do the work as someone whose ancestors arrived on the Mayflower.

Quit whining. They don't give out TS/SCI to non-citizens - in fact, they'll revoke the TS/SCI of a citizen with too many non-citizen associations.

Are you even cleared to talk about this?

Please tell me more.

Hi, I worked for Lockheed, I have an active clearance. Lockheed Martin makes fighter jets, satellites, and all kinds of other goodies for the DoD!

A) That's not classified
B) If he's a non-citizen, he either doesn't have a clearance, or its very low level.

I don't have any clearance for anything. I don't work for DoD.. I work on a system for DoD to keep track of all its assets. For example, when and if they leave Iraq.. they will need to tag all of the equipment to ship back to the US. Our sales will increase.
I don't know any sensitive information about some of our projects I guess. I am not even allowed to go demonstrate my work to the DoD yet, but hopefully when I get my green card this year I could.
Must be at least a permanent resident to enter their facilities.

If you read the article it says... the old contract will be up in Jan 08, and the new one (425M) will be in effect.
