This is not a left-wing forum.

It USED to be somewhat centrist but somewhere right around mid 2K4 it took a hard left. It's moderated a bit from it's peak loony leftistness (likely due to the great unbanning) but it's still very much left wing here.
Well it went totally anti Bush Admin when it was revealed that the reasons given for the invasion and occupation of Iraq were total bullshit. So realizing we were duped by Bush & Co was the turning point.

I think it's fair to say that on the average this forum is left-leaning, but there is certainly a diversity of opinion. I don't think there is a single "hard left" or "extreme left" member (not that I can think of anyway). If you believe that the average is extreme left then you need some perspective, seriously.

Well, the mods aren't as bad as they used to be. They were castrated about a year ago after abusing their powers by deleting posts, changing people's sigs, reseting users' passwords, banning users without warning all behind the guise of anonymity. Now the mods aren't allowed to anonymously moderate and have to state who they are and why they did what they did.

And apparently at least one of them still do it because I already posted this once and it was deleted.

Nothing was deleted, your post was moved to another forum as the discussion of the Moderation is neither Politics nor News.

the good news is that it seems a large number of the true hard core loonbag lefties seem to have taken a breather from this site.
I do wonder what Steeplerot is up to these days... he/she was always fun to pick on! Hmmm, maybe he/she spit on one too many soldiers...?

To answer your question OP, there has been a drastic reduction in common sense.

If I had to give P&N during the Bush admin a movie title, I`d call it, "Rise of the Shills".

Another thing McOwen was right about ;)

FoxNews.com?

That has to be the lamest troll post ever.

All real right-wing frothing trolls find free speech only on bastions of conservative rightness like Stormfront or Freerepublic, you fox news sissy troll.
Get it right you git.

Anybody to the left of Jesse Helms is a librul :p

'Shouting down' propaganda, invective and fallacy (i.e., 'dissenting opinions' that have no basis in fact) is not liberal.

Anyone at AT who wants gov't to be honest, efficient and productive is labeled a Lib.

Richard Nixon was a Lib. What was the moderate 'center' 30 years ago is now 'extreme left'

I snicker at todays so-called Cons and their anti-gov't though paternalistic nationalism with lust for power, absolute corporatism and lock-step group-think. It's closer to fascism than conservatism.

Cons of this generation are little more than defenders of their failed gov't 'privilege' and with their loss of power, the 'protection' of that privilege. To some extent I would like to see the Cons punished for their abuse of America but why lower yourself into the slop and wrestle with the pigs? It's time to move on - and forward.

Lather. Rinse. Repeat. From Watergate to Iran-Contra to incubator babies to Dubya's Total Fail. How soon will America forget this round?

That`s an awesome post right there. Or as some of us call it, THE TRUTH.
