How hard would business school be for someone that hasn't majored or minored in business related stuff?

Just curious. Was considering taking the GMAT to see how I'd do, but I don't know how hard business school would be for a nonmajor. Majoring in psyc right now, but math is no problem having taken some calculus and some math heavy classes like physics.

i wouldn't know, but from what i've heard, you should be fine. in fact, a pro money manager for saloman barney smith once told me that getting an MBA would be redundant for business majors. the guy has like 50 accounts 1 mil and up, so i think he knows what he's talking about (he's vp of something there....)

Sounds good to me. If others voice their opinions, I hope it falls along the same lines. I would like to go to grad school and eventually get a PHD in psyc, but I also want alternatives. 🙂

At the college I attend, the business school is pretty good, but regarded by all the engineers as "easy". Business majors will be the first to tell you otherwise, but I don't know. Some of the upplerclassmen talk about taking business classes and how easy they are, I haven't taken any yet myself though (I will be next semester). I suppose compared to some of the classes you take as an engineering major, anything seems easier 🙂

In the spring when i finally become a senior, I plan on taking classes for a masters in MIS. It's basically a business degree with computers. From what I've been told an MBA and the Masters in MIS would be interchangeable as long as you have a comp sci/eng degree. It probably doesn't have quite as many high level business courses, but you still take a lot of accounting and business classes.
