Hello,

I am wondering about the possibility of making the display on a case a small LCD...also it must be touch screen, and would have to be pretty small like 5". it would just be for a home audio/video PC to rip CDs, etc. I know people have done this but I think with much larger LCDs and I don't know about touch pads...is this feasible?

If you are talking about just the screen, you will need to make or buy a power supply and a controller for it. Here's a 4" display that takes NTSC or PAL input. The resolution isn't much, but it depends on what you're expecting. Here's a 5" unit from a PS-1.

Maybe the screen is just PnP? What would you plug into the video card? I'm in the blue on this. Consider this post a bump 'cause i'd like to see how to go about doing this.

well i don't know if I can find a small LCD like that especially touch screen that will plug right into the output of a video card, or even if i could just rewire the display to accept a VGA input.

oh...looking at harvey's post about the input of those LCDs, would i just use TV-Out of the video card or something?

Check out these guys; they've got some interesting LCD products that might suit your needs. Be sure to only get one with a VGA input, as text on a NTSC input (TV style) is going to royally suck. This model looks particularly well suited to your needs. In fact, there's a thread (somewhere, on a different forum) about where this guy modded one of those Xenarc LCDs (not the touchscreen one I linked to, but rather another model) into a Shuttle small form-factor PC; it's pretty friggin awesome. :p

Edit: I found it! Try not to drool too much. ;)
