How hard is the A+ Test

As much as people like to put down A+, when you get into the IT industry, dealing with warranty certification for product repair, they usually want you to have A+, more recently Server+, and an MCP. Plus if your going to some day get a MCSE, having passed any two of the three +'s counts as one of your elective courses.

As someone said earlier, the book basically tells you how they want you to answer the question, or view the problem. They liked to put things in ways that could be right in some manner, but not in the way they want you to look at it.

They are meant to be relatively generic tests, to show that you have a good foundation. I've passed A+, Network+, and Server+ and feel they were worth the time and money. I learned some things I could use in my work, but it still doesn't replace time spent in the field.
