How hard is it to replace a hsf on a 9800XT?

As soon as I get my 9800XT back from a trade, I want to remove the HSF that's on there currently as it makes a lot of noise. I want to replace it with something even louder. The main reason for me replacing it is because it sounds like its defective.

Any ideas and how hard is it to replace? I read stories of people burning their cards out. I'd hate to do that as I'm unemployed and would not be able to afford a new video card so soon.

Please advise.
 
Piece of cake . . . Arctic Cooling Silencer 3 is the one i have for my 9800xt and it is unfortunately pretty quiet even on 'hi'. it DOES however, blow the hot GPU air OUT of your case at the price of taking up a PCI slot.

Follow the instructions EXACTLY.
