I build and repair ibm compatible pc's regularly but I have never worked on a mac. A friend has an imac that will not power up. This is one of those computers that is integrated with the monitor. Does anyone know if it is easy/possible to open one of these up and test/replace the PSU? And if so, where would I get a PSU for one of these? I'm assuming that my ATX PSU tester will not work on a mac PSU, anyone know what type of connector these PSU's have and how to test it?

I'm not sure as to what exactly your asking, but I have to open imacs, and they are not easy. Also it depends on what kind of imac, tray load, slot load, etc. Where I work we subscribe to Apple service source, there they give you .pdf files that show how to take any Apple product apart, if I could, I'd log in and send you the .pdf you needed, but I forgot the pass :(
