how hard is it to repair an analog mic?

my cat just chewed up my tried and true logitech desktop microphone. basically, just cut the cord in half. is repairing the mic as simple as soldering/ crimping the two ends back together, or is it more complicated? I noticed copper wire inside a silver sheath and another set of copper wires around that in the cross section. not sure if it's all the same or not. Another reason why i don't want to get a new one is because all the new logitech ones are USB only and $20+. i might end up doing that if this is more trouble than its worth.

If anyone can give me a clue i would greatly appreciate it !

Hes, just solder the wires back together. Don't let them get shorted out though
