It will, don't worry. There's only so much pounding a connecting rod can take.

Obviously..do you think I expect it to go like that forever?...I'm surprised it's still going, and it sure as hell deserves a bit more respect than "A Ford would have stopped working before it made it to the test room".

I also have crap video of it doing some donuts

Mythbusters did something similar to this with an old Cadillac engine. They poured sugar, water, coca cola and I can't remember what else and that engine kept going. If I recall correctly, I think the engine finally gave out when they added mothballs into the oil tank. Funny stuff.

They never successfully killed it. It revv'd up high with the mothballs, though. In fact, that's the only thing that caused any change whatsoever.

Rev limiting.... take an old car, open its throttle, and see how long it lasts. Rev limited = artifical life support. Boo!

I ran a '76 Dodge Colt(i4) with a brick on the pedal and the exhaust manifold off for more than half an hour, the damn thing ran better after than before.

Back in the day I had a yellow 77' dodge colt. It looked like a big lemon :)

Mine was a bicentennial edition, white with blue vinyl top and red and blue pinstripes, paid $60.00 for it and got a couple years out of it before rust ate the strut towers :(

It was a five speed and hauled ass nicely :D

My 1990 Honda Accord Coupe:

1- has been in two somewhat major accidents (declared 'totaled' twice:p )
2 - Is burning oil due to a broken piston ring; Noisy as well
3 - The left axle is about to fall off...
4 - The clutch is worn
5 - The synchros are worn out...

....and I've probably driven 30,000k miles with it like this...probably closer to 90 since it started burning oil. :p

The ride is bumpy and noisy as hell, but she always performs admirably...hopefully I will be able to replace the axle and change the oil this weekend.:D

Damn. Everybody that needs a damned F22 is always on the other side of the country:| If you were closer I'd give you the engine out of my 91. Hell, it even has a new OEM clutch.
