How hard is it to install a VGA cooler?

I was looking at a friend's computer that was acting up, and it looks like the fan on his 9800p has given up. I cleaned it out and it still wasnt spinning properly.
I found some Antec VGA coolers but I don't really know what's involved in installing them, and I feel really uncomfortable messing around with his card because I don't want to bust it.

My other option is to put in a PCI card fan that would blow air onto the card from below.

So just how hard is it to put in a cooler to replace the current stock setup?

I actually just finished replacing the stock cooler on my 6800GT with a Zalman vf700-cu.

It was surprisingly easy to do, just removed a few screws, cleaned off a little grease and followed the directions. It works, it runs, its quieter and my temp's have dropped by roughly 10c idle. Not bad considering that the AS5 still needs too "cure".

Basically, i think it's well worth it.
