How hard is it to get OSX working on a pc?

I have a laptop that's just sitting around and I could use the diversion - is it a relatively simple task if I can track down the required .iso?

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for an Apple OS to install on an x86 machine.

considering apple ships nothing but x86 machines these days, i don't think so.

you might want to look into vmware. ive heard things but havent done them myself.

It's actually not too difficult, depending on your laptop's hardware configuration. Check the OSx86 website for tutorials and all the help you need.

the problem is that drivers don't exist for your hardware. If you managed to track down exactly the same stuff Apple uses in one of its machines, you could do it (IIRC, some website did just that a while back), but you can't just install it on your Athlon box.

That's one big needle then.

For a second, I thought this was about me.
