How hard is it for an American to get a job in Europe..say Holland for instance?

I am a computer network engineer, so I believe I do have a skill set in demand. From what I have researched on the net, it seems next to impossible. Does anyone have any experience with this? Also, any Europeans reading this...feel free to sponsor me. ;)

I know of a military housewife and her husband was stationed on a US base in Germany. After 2 weeks of boredom she went outside the gate and applied for a job at a small store. She was arrested and jailed.

Europe sucks!

I'm realy not sure how easy it would be to get a job there, but it would probably just depend on what country you try. My best bet is to contact some big job agency in europe like pricewaterhouse and ask them for help.

Easy! Persons both legal and illegal are encouraged to work when in the US!

Europe sucks!

I was stationed in Germany on the border of Holland and Belgium. It is possible to work over there, as there were civilians who retired over there or had a Visa to work over there, but your chance will be hampered by not being able to speak Dutch. Most Dutch speak English as well as several other languages, but I would think it would be hard if you didn't/couldn't learn their language.

From my expereince there, Dutch is a very hard language to learn.....especially for us old guys :)

BTW Holland was my favorite country while I was over there. If I couldn't live in the U.S., I would live there.
