the only time i ordered from them, they sent the drivers for a scsi card but no card. i called and the lady on the phone insisted that it was packaged and sent out. (it wasen't) after a few phone calls i eventually got someone there to send me a card.

never ordered there again.

My experience was even worse than that. I ordered an open box CPU. What I got was an open box and a heatsink. No CPU. This was a couple years ago and the CPU in question was $190. I called them...talked to somebody that spoke about 2 sentences worth of English and got no where. Called back in again. Got another jackhole that couldn't speak English to save his life. Finally managed to get ahold of some CSR "manager" that could in fact pronounce words with more than two syllables. And all he did was claim that I was lying or tried to pawn it off on the UPS driver.

I ended up contesting it with my credit card company and got the money back that way.

Pretty crappy. Still waiting on a refund for a package that I sent back to them and they received on the 24th of February.

Ouch, no wonder I don't shop @ ZZF anymore. Even though they are usually a few bucks cheaper than Newegg on certain items and offer free FedEx 2day, Newegg has been doing me right for years.

Newegg's RMA policy is outstanding.

I've had two returns with ZZF. On one that wasn't defective, they charged me a 15% restocking fee. On the one that was defective they waved the fee. Both times my money was back within a week of their receiving the stuff back.

glad to hear that.
i did an exchange, not a refund.
their website states 15% restocking on all refunds, regardless of DOA or not.

damnit, shoulda went w/newegg. the price was $4 cheaper at the time and 2nd day shipping swayed my decision.

I'm glad to have read this post. I'm loyal newegg customer ;). All my RMA dealings with Newegg have been prompt and painless.
