How good is your drunken memory?

No matter how sh!t faced I get, I am able to remember everything the night before. I can remember puking, passing out...things people are saying in the room while I'm laying on the couch drunk and sick...

I don't usually get sick when I drink, but even when I do drink that ridiculous of an amount, I can still remember everything. I've never been able to understand people who are like "I don't remember much of anything..." I think they're lying.

Well, what about you?

There was only one occasion I couldn't remember the stuff I did ... and I think I blocked it out on purpose 😉😱

I've never blacked out from drinking by itself... only when some ...erm... additional intoxicants were added to the mix did I really lose track of things & not remember ANY of it. 😛

I've only been drunk once. I felt like my mind was trapped inside a jello mold of what might be my body if a 3 year old drew out the plans for it.

Never again. Horrible feeling. And yes, I remembered every moment of it.

Haha... trust me, people who say they don't remember aren't lying (at least not all of them). It wasn't as bad as it is now, but once I get drunk, not wasted, I pretty much remember absolutely nothing the next day. I've been told about walking home from the bar and going to a friends house and what I said, the next day, while remembering nothing. Woke up one time in my bed and had no idea were my pants were. Opened the door to my room and apparently I couldn't wait to make it to my room to take them off.

Forgetting entire portions of a night while drinking and blacking out are both signs of brain damage as a result of alcohol consumption.

That said, yes, I do occasionally drink enough that I forget some things, but not very often. It takes a hell of alot for me to get blackout drunk (usually doesnt happen until after ive had enough to puke)

You aren't drinking enough in my opinion. I've had many nights where I can't remember anything from the night before or the occasional night when some things are prevalent and I don't remember other things. When I drink to much, I never remember leaving the bar for some reason, but can recall some things that happen after. Things like hooking up with my friend's crush; boy is he still pissed at me.

QFT. If you've never blacked out, you haven't gotten drunk enough. Puking and passing out is getting pretty damn drunk, but if you black out you were dangerously drunk. I saw video once of myself after the point where I didn't remember anything... that was creepy.

EngenZerO: Speaking of a funny pissing story... my buddy was back from Iraq on leave recently and we all got him drunk. I saw him walk out my front door (my balcony/porch is right out front, I live on the second floor) and I saw him pissing over the front of my balcony into my neighbors porch downstairs and laughing slowly while swaying. I almost fell over laughing, but I quickly stopped him. It was laughs...

You don't drink enough. Puking doesn't always = wasted.

When I really go for it, I will either have patches of blackout, or the whole night will be gone.

As bad as it sounds, thats half the fun some times, getting mental images in your head for the next week and trying to decipher what the fvck happened.

And hey, who doesn't like hearing, "hey, you're THAT guy!".

i don't get drunk to enough to forget anything that happened. don't drink enough to pass out, either.

When i used to drink alot, i "blacked out" all the time. Only would remember conversations once it was brought up again. Sometimes i would wake up the next day with phone numbers but had no idea who they were or what we talked about.

No they are not lying when they say they dont remember.

There is an 11-story dorm at the college I graduated from. One of my buddies got so drunk one night he opened up the window of his room on the 9th floor and started peeing out of it. Yeah, he doesn't remember that.

I've gotten drunk in the past and have blacked out several times. There is a major difference between getting drunk and blacked out wasted. For me to black out in the past it has taken an insane amount of alcohol, i.e. I drank half a handle of vodka on a Monday night in college and still remembered everything that happened, including seeing EMS come and take my friend to the hospital to get his stomach pumped (he drank the other half).

If you haven't blacked out, it means you haven't drank enough.

I've blacked out maybe two or three times.. but this is in countless nights of drinking. One time I sliced my foot open real bad while blacked out, someone told me it was bleading and then I saw how bad it was. Had to go to the hospital the next day and they asked me how I did it.. kind of embarassing to say I didn't know. I don't think the doctor liked me much, he took a giant needle and before he stuck it into my foot he said "This is going to hurt... A LOT." Sure enough it did.

But I do have a really good drunken memory, I've only blacked out with kegs because I get so freaking wasted.
