I don't have any real firsthand knowledge of this model, but i did buy the 107S nearly 2 years ago for 170(thought that was a good deal, jeez now you can get it for around 90 bucks!)

I can't complain about it, decent refresh rate, my monitor had clunky controls- a dial underneith to change menus that was very unresponsive - now there's a 4 button interface that controls onscreen functions....

i too was tempted to buy this, Office Depot has it for $299 minus a $100 rebate= $199+tax.

CDRW has it for $239+$18.13(from chicago to fw, IN but cdrw has extremely low ship prices) BUT WHERE IS THE REBATE? I CHECKED OFFICE DEPOT and they're all out of date. I can't confirm nor deny whether this philips rebate is office depot exclusive or accepted by retailers, even then would the rebate company accept the rebate from online retailers?

next question, do you want a ~60 lb monitor to be drop kicked by UPS, i've had extremely good luck only 1 thing damaged in about 50 items received and that was 4 years ago.

To recap, this monitor was posted in Office Depot's AD, i checked staples and they don't carry it. Also wasn't there a 50 off 200 office depot code? i'll i'm finding are 15 off 50s(which supposedly are stackable).

If rebate is good with any purchase than this is a good deal, anyone able to supply rebate?

edit 40lb instead of 60lb, my mistake

Ihave had a 109s for over a year and My maximum refresh rate is 85. So either I am all wet or the new ones are inferior to theold ones
I like it cept is has some issues already the screen will sometimes turn on by itself and show all white while the comp is off so I have to shut it off before I leave
other than that it has been good taken to many lan parties and general abuse...
I have it mounted on a homeade wall tv mount and it swivels into my Barko lounger.. keyboard in lap mouse on a board
kind of lazy but my back dont hurt after hours of use..

Ne way it gets josled around a bunch.

hate to have to correct you, but i went through all the Office depot rebates, none of them were for the 109s, the one you linked isn't for the same product + its only good at Office depot...

philips' site is busted for me, hangs at chosing my country

OD 109s rebate

The flyer says $100 MIR but I, too, can't find an unexpired $100 rebate for 790-221 at OD online. There is the one linked above for $50 which is not OD specific.

i omitted the $50 one, yeah, because it wasn't for $100

Any news? I'd go to office depot and check it out but the one by me rarely has everything advertised. This deal is just waiting for that $100 rebate

nothing here about any rebates

http://www.pcstuff.philips.com/prd/index.jsp?Country_Code=PCStuff

also tried rebateshq for the heck of it, nothing

bringing this back from the dead...

Update, called Philips promotions and rebate centers. They had no idea this $100 rebate at office depot existed, kept getting the run around- told me to call rebateshq.com. Don't bother its just an automated system. Nothing on their website, just dealer only rebates so wtf? Their "promotions" department is just rebateshq.

Next up(well first actually but makes for a better story) I called Office Depot. They had no idea that there was a rebate. They had the ad in hand but all the rebates they had were either expired or for $50. So everyone basically said, try again tomorrow or try going back into Office Depot.

Also I asked about wether they would accept rebates from places like amazon.com or cdw.com - they said as long as it wasn't retailer specific they would take it. also asked about my pcr804 rebates they said only 1 rebate would work, so i'm thinking i'll send them each with one of the card holders names.

Action from here - going to goto office depot tomorrow and ask about the rebate, its too pricey for $300, a deal at $200, and Hot at $160- if i could get a Samsung 955f i wouldn't be wasting all this time.

there's the link

http://www.officedepot.com/shop/cat...SK&SID=R9PLPC2884MJ8JDFV5AMT9RPRVFE0EF5&PP=14

notice the model number is 109B20 whatever clue that may give

I take it no one else cares?
