How good is this memory?

I currently have 2x512MB DDR2-533 memory. My father is doing a bit of upgrading and he wanted to buy 2x512MB DDR2-800 RAM (he does NOT overclock). Anyway I convinced him to take my pair and buy me a 1GB DDR2-800 stick.

However....I need the best 1GB stick under $120.

How good is this memory?
G.SKILL 1GB DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)

Edit: I going to want to buy another stick for dual channel sometime in the not too distant future.

What is the stock speed on your memory and how the hell is it running so high?

WTF is all this Crucial Tenth Anniversary stuff????? I don't get it.
Also the Micron D9...........

Enlighten me.

Can I get 1GB of that for under US$120?

1 stick would cost you a bit less than twice that. Not that you even need PC6400. With a 14x multiplier, a 400 Mhz FSB would have your cpu running @ 5.6 Ghz. You might be able to do that, but not with air cooling. Also, why are you running your RAM @ 4-4-4-12? Change your timings to 5-6-6-18, and see how high it will go. It may go higher than your processor is able to go, since you have such a high multiplier.

The thing is that I'm planning to get a Core 2 Duo (E4300, E6300 or E6400...not sure yet).

I've noticed that my SATA is limiting my OC, not my RAM. My BIOS will allow me 5-6-6-15 or 6-6-6-15. How will it help really?

PS: Underlined is preferred.
