How good is thermal epoxy?

I want to put a larger hsf on my vid card, but don't really want to drill holes for it. Since it is epoxy i would assume that it would stay on no matter what. But how effeciantly does it transfer heat?

More efficiently than grease in tests but not by a whole lot.

Maybe you should just buy a video card HSF.

It can be very efficient and quite close to paste based TIM's. Beware that it is quite permanent!

Thanks sharkeeper for that link. This stuff is seriously dangerous... cool! I am going to try to track down a friend with a drill press, but after that i guess this is my next option.
