How good is the VIA C3 800MHz processor?

Does anyone have the Microtel SYSMAR710 800 MHz PC with LindowsOS?

I'm wondering if it's worth the $ or should I step up a few? It's to be used for low to middle, not high end games.

We're interested in that its reported to run cool.

Think of the C3 as a Celeron....only worse. Does the name "Cyrix" ring a bell with you? VIA bought Cyrix and the C3 was born.

they have their benefits
ie: cool running, cheap, low power, socket compat with P3/celeron
they help make for a cheat walmart pc
maybe bringing pc's to the less rich people making them more mainstream
i'll take one if you got an extra one.........

as far as games go
it's not gonna be a good system
it's more or less for web browsing, word processing, e-mail and other simple office stuff
prob comes with some cheesy integrated graphics
plus it is lindows so yur gaming is limited to what winex supports (maybe 40% of games)
but if it is not for gaming, or you know the older game you wanna play is supported, then maybe.....
